Research

My research interests are in a broad sense focused on computational research of quantum systems.  In the past I worked on electron impact ionization of hydrogen, quantum cavities and Rydberg atoms, MMD & TDSE calculations of cluster phase water and the Brillouin zone structures for quasi-crystals and super cells.  Now I have started working on the calculations of dimer and trimer potential surfaces at ultra cold temperature regimes.

 Current Research

I am currently a member of the Ultracold Atoms and Molecules group working for Dr Robin Côté on the photo-association of ultra cold dimers and trimers.  As well as the calculation of the potential surfaces of these objects at ultra cold regimes.  In the recent past I worked with Dr Richard Krantz on the calculation of Brillouin zones for Maximally Even Supercells.

Vögel Education

I recieved a B.S in Physics with a minor in Mathematics with honors from the Metropolitan State College of Denver. Currently am a PhD Graduate student at the University of Connecticut Physics Department. To date I have passed my quantum preliminary examination and am working on passing my classical preliminary examination and my oral presentation.  Here is a link to my CV [link].
